How long should JLV's ankle be chained to the MXS ball? What precedent is there? How many other devs(1 man or not) stick with a title this long? Look how much shit the devs at PiBoSo are getting after a couple years. I'm not saying I'm not one of the shit flickers.

This is true. He has been at it for a while and it is understandable if he is burnt out from all the work he has already done.

This is what he posted back in 2011. Would be interesting to see how you could advance MXS if it was ported to a different engine that has other graphical improvements already.

Let's think about the real problem here. Who's gonna win Millville Alex or Jeremy Martin or other :D

I think an in-game friends list and ability to "join" friends in servers would be pretty badass.

Obviously I also want like...unreal engine and other major changes but... (and I understand completely why, I'm not hating) it takes forever to get small updates to the game. A graphical engine change would take years at this rate.

Online, dynamic, erode - a fundamental part of motocross racing/tracks - would be a great first step in revitalizing interest. That said, it all depends on JLV's interest in doing so, because as others have pointed out, he has ran with this solo for a long...long time.

If it's the end of the road in the next 12-18 months, I can without doubt say this game has given me more enjoyment than any other I've played. Hope it isn't like that, because I can recall more than one occasion when people started yelling "the end is near," but I myself have felt a waning interest in gameplay. Still the best designing platform since it's open, but without dynamic online erode, I feel like it turns into doing the same thing over and over sometimes.
