I can see a world where we just use erode to make the tracks, then leave them as is for the motos (since erode is hard on computers). The rF crew will have a group of guys to do a 30 minute moto or whatever and roughen up the track, then polish up the bad spots and we race on it. Maybe you guys don't like that idea, but that would save the track crew hours and hours of work making ruts (going back in game, testing ruts, re-working them, tweaking the ruts until they ride well, etc.

I feel like this kills the whole point of having erode considering it was meant for the track to develop throughout a moto. Now, using your strategy for maybe 4-6 laps and then calling that the "starting" track to simulate the ruts that weren't cleaned up between motos makes sense. That also is the same thing as putting in the time to build small starting ruts anyway so I have no idea how it'll work.

The fact that none these riders received a penalty for launching the double and causing another crash is definitely interesting, especially when they were clear off the side of the track over the stakes in order to hit the jump. God knows if I tried it and t-boned Mullins on the first lap we all know I wouldn't be racing tonight. Plus I remember Siedhoff launching that double every lap, it didn't matter if he was in traffic or riding alone, he doesn't care if he takes down 5 people in the process. I don't think you should get away with that kind of racing.

I wasn't around for the 250 consi at Washougal but it wouldn't surprise me, but when half the class is doing it, you can't penalize everyone.

I don't know actually, but a penalty should've been administered to someone if they killed someone trying to jump that line, especially if it was the same person twice in a row
