In addition to the 9:30pm CST test, we will be doing a "pre-test" at 1:00pm CST (just over an hour from now) to quickly see if we're at least in the ballpark with base setting.

Uhmmm... yea... so I guess there is another race scheduled during this. We'll try it at 10:30pm CST - running out of time to get this testing going considering we haven't even had one successful one yet.

I actually thought the first race was pretty good. There was a lot of holes everywhere that began early on in the first few laps I think, that just kept getting bigger througout and made it feel very chattery. But multiple lines did form. 2nd moto was interesting just because of how many straight line ruts formed, although they never got deep in corners. The sand in both races didn't form great in my opinion, it just seemed like a minefield throughout.

I think part of the first lap troubles is because of crashes and fast direction changes, stops and starts. But also because people attempt to take where the fast line would be, but either light up the rear tire or people are 5 feet away from it and you get mutliple small starter lines, where eventually 1 main line forms from. I guess having starter ruts helps this but to me that almost just forces the main line.
