This is the "Track of the Week" series where we have weekly casual races on tracks chosen by vote. If you're a newbie or just not that fast, this series is meant for you. Fast guys are welcome but since this is for casual players don't get mad if some squid on a 125 gets in your way!

This week we're riding Freestone!

Entry fee: FREE!
Registration: None! Just show up!
Bike class: Open!
Time: Friday July 11, 2025 9:00 PM EDT
Server: elsinore.mxsimulator.com:19805
Track link: 2012 MotoSport rF National Rd02: Freestone high / low

The track is running on elsinore.mxsimulator.com:19805 now. I'll use the lap times from there for the seeding if more than 40 show up. Planning on doing two 8 lap motos.

I recommend running erode on this track when played on friday. It has to be cranked up pretty high however. But honestly it works good enough on the old tileinfo. Breaking bumps form and ruts get deeper lol. Ive been riding it a bit and I think around 4-8 would be good depending on how many people show up.

Legendary track. I suppose this would be a good place to leave a link to BoneStone if anyones bored.. a version of this track I lightly edited for 'modern' sim. Miscellaneous raise/lower tools to balance lines, reshaped faces, and updated erode settings for me n the team to mess around on.

Rescheduling this for July 11. Apparently people are doing other things on the 4th instead of important things like video games!

the lack of riders was because of the track lol there are actually many track creators making great tracks and you put one from 2012 :(

Nah Freestone 2012 is fine, i like those pre-ground shaders tracks, often more realistic than the later ones.

Freestone 2012 is fine for racing ESPECIALLY given its age, I do want to agree with the fact it was just because of the 4th being on Friday but there was admittedly a concerningly low number of people trying to qualify.

It is a great track although I admit I'm doing this to play tracks like Mintop and Kittery Lake rather than something that's been used for a national. Great tracks that I'd never got around to playing!

2012 rF tracks were some of the best tracks ever made for this game. The attention to detail in terrain was next level. We've only regressed since then imo.

It was so busy on here earlier that I couldn't log in "too many connections [1040]" There were 2800 plus at once! Must be for the Millville track or something else I missed.

The SQL error happens when the bots hit the site hard. Probably spambots but could be web crawlers. It's funny how much the AI LLMs know about MXS. They've definitely been crawling the forum!

Would definitely be cool to have you race with us!

How could I resist with a direct invite from you?!?! I migrated to using a controller about 10 years too late, but I gotta get with it and just dive in. Renaissance man? I'll check it out. 2011 was the last time I regularly try-harded at racing with yall.
