Not bad for the newbies, but it would have been nice to include some of the hotkeys (i.e. pressing Enter to apply a transformation instead of 'clicking on a random tool.' You didn't completely utilize the tools that would have made it easier, such as the magnifying glass to zoom in. You used some noob tools, such as select pixels and the paint brush instead of Hue/Saturation (Ctrl+U), but at least you're showing some people how to use PS. About finding things on the template, you can use the move tool and enable auto-select, then PS will find the layer for you. You also don't need to include the space after the hyphen in the name. I'm glad that you're trying to help, (and this will definitely help noobs and should be stickied) but you showed a lack of confidence that I would not completely trust if I were trying to learn something.

Definitely very basic but awesome! Should definitely help alot of people. Of course there's alot more that could be added but one thing I really wish you had put in there was how to use the pen tool. When I was a noob I had no idea how to use it correctly so I would have to try making designs with the paint brush and it came out looking like crap

here is another tutorial for skinning a bike in Photoshop.
It will show you some basics on using the pen tool. i don't use mast of the stuff i explained but im sure it will help some people who have no idea what they are doing. The way you learn on Photoshop is just experimentation. I will help you as much as i can.
