So before I went any further with it I thought I would get some thoughts on it. Anyone have any ideas for color? or maybe a design or something to make it less plain? Or is it even worth finishing and releasing?

Sorry for quoting myself but I would really like to continue on this gear. Will anyone help me?
Sorry man, gonna be honest and say that gear looks pretty ugly. I think the design with the electric looking things going across would look cool, but not with so many colors. Maybe just over black, with some other things added and a nice logo it could look good.

I know the colors are bad thats why I asked for some peoples opinions on colors or maybe a design to add to the gear just to make it less plain. Thanks for the comments Brina.

Had some time myself to do a little more to the metal revision for the YZF. About half way on the frame, think it's obvious what was worked on and what wasn't.

Correct, on a stock Yamaha frame it appears they are not going for TIG welds, but regular welds that get grind down. On a after-market frame, which is what I'm focussing on creating, everything is being welded with a TIG weld (Can recognize them by the "screw thread" look). Difference between a TIG weld and a regular weld is that a TIG weld does not have to be grind down afterwards, it is a much cleaner and more flat than a regular weld.
KTM57 wrote:Very nice work, though. Would you mind sharing your method on creating the welds? I'm thinking that you are just carefully drawing the dark and light tones, but I'd like to know your way of doing it if you're willing to share!
Get a tablet, and start brushing really. There is no "magic" to it. Once you get the process down you'll be able to draw them really really quick.
I usually just use a small brush and just brush in the pattern of the welds. Seems to be the easiest for me. then go back and touch it up when done.
