Re: 2013crf450r Stock Final Release
I understand what you were saying Phat. I just got mad pretty quick. Doesn't mean I'm not still mad but I have proved my point and that is that, I'm over it.
Maybe you werent talking about me or not directly at me, but as far as when you said after that you started releasing your work publicly everyone started liking you more. I don't have the attitude for keeping things private. I don't work on multiple projects just for them to be enjoyed by me and few others. The reason why I didn't want my work on the honda is because I didn't want my work to be apart of it. That is that. Not cause I wanted to keep it private, I didn't want to be associated at all with the project no longer and I respectfully asked for my work not to be used. I wasn't a dick about it, I just said I no longer had part in the project, and neither did my work. Paul said fine he would just redo it anyway. I knew this wasn't true because he has told me before that he would take my work, say he "redid it", claim it as his, and basically rip it. So I wasn't very suprised when I saw this, but it still made me really pissed off just like any other creator would have been. The least he could of done is admit that he couldn't redo it himself and credit me to the work that I put into this bike.
If people feel the need to keep this topic going go ahead, as far as I'm concerned this topic is over, I have already proved my point.

Re: 2013crf450r Stock Final Release
I understand where your coming from. The liking me more part was tongue in cheek, I've always been an asshole that people love to hate.
It's not that I was keeping the mod private, it was really just the development of it. I made all the classic MX Sim mistakes... Promoted the shit out of it, gave it to people that said they wanted to help, but really didn't have a clue, threw a shit fit when I found it it had been passed around, etc... For me after that my actions were mainly just to spite the people who had wronged me. You're being very unclear about why you didn't want your work associated with this bike, but I'll assume that your reason for not wanting to just had the shading/template over to Paul was to "stick it to him." In all honesty we take on these projects in our free time because we like the challenge and learning how to do new things.
In all honesty if I could do it again I would have just let them have my files and went my separate way. Not to say that making the decision, even now, would be easy and require swallowing a stomach full of pride, but it's really the best course of action you can take. I fully agree that Paul is 100% wrong in how he handled the situation, you have every right to be mad and throw a shit fit, which IMO you really haven't. People should really notice this, and try to follow suite.
I guess you let the cat out of the bag about your work being part of this release, so what to you would be a fair end game? I don't think I've seen you suggest any resolution to the problem yet.

Re: 2013crf450r Stock Final Release
I guess I don't really know. Not much to do really. I'm not gonna say "don't use the honda its ripped blah blah blah". I mean everyone pretty much knows whats what now. My resolution to this is just recognize me as part of it. Enjoy the honda and you can hopefully expect a better release later... Not making any promises but I had plans on doing alot more to it anyway.Phathry25 wrote:I understand where your coming from. One question though, if you made these mods for the rFactor game why don't you create stuff for mxs? Or have you ever? I haven't been with the game for a long time so I'm not sure if you have or not. I'm just curious why you no longer create things for games.

Re: 2013crf450r Stock Final Release
It would be nice for Paul to cop to what he did, offer an apology, and add you to the credits. In a dream world at least.
As far as not doing too much for MXS, I'm not much of an artist. While I can model and texture, it's not pretty, and that's more or less the extent of modding you can do for MXS. Most of my work for rFactor was physics and just figuring out everything that goes along with track creation, model setup within the game etc... I made a few tracks here and there, and I think even a car once, but nothing to really write home about.
I did make all the tracks and arenas for the AX series I am running. Borrowed most of the textures from JLV though.

Re: 2013crf450r Stock Final Release
bike is 100% except seat angle is kinda weird when you take pics in game and you can even see it in the release pic in this post, not a big problem AT ALL, but if this was different, this bike would be literally perfect. maybe a seat like this witht the angled back....just a suggestion....not a diss...the bike is siick lookin and trust me, i know how much time goes into a bike, let alone a nice one.
