Re: ***MODELS and SKINS HELP/QUESTION THREAD***
I opened the saf in notepad and deleted the subfolder tag before the norm files and it worked, thank you

Re: ***MODELS and SKINS HELP/QUESTION THREAD***
thats a way to go if you have the saf already made

Re: ***MODELS and SKINS HELP/QUESTION THREAD***
For the object centers on a bike, do they have to be where DJ's Yamaha's are, or do they depend on the geometry? Say if the the object centers for a new fork upper is the same as DJ's YZ, but the handlebars are off. I move the fork upper object so the handlebars now align, do I keep the center in the new position or do I move it back to the original position?

Re: ***MODELS and SKINS HELP/QUESTION THREAD***
DJs centers are kinda off...I downloaded jlvs blend file of the bikes and aligned my bikes with it
Re: ***MODELS and SKINS HELP/QUESTION THREAD***
and I see I get the question wrong...the position is relevant to the geometry, it can be placed anywhere in the scene
Re: ***MODELS and SKINS HELP/QUESTION THREAD***
Ok, thanks p2sta!

Re: ***MODELS and SKINS HELP/QUESTION THREAD***
Can I fix this stretching without completely redoing the plate? It's my first time doing a plate and I have no clue why it's stretching so bad.

I probably can't be helped and am just going to be told that the poly flow and stuff is terrible, but I don't know what to do, and I don't want to remake it.
I think I fixed the bottom without having the seam.

Still pretty bad.
Thanks for any replies.

Re: ***MODELS and SKINS HELP/QUESTION THREAD***
Well you can mess with it on the UV mapping that would help some. Other than that I don't know, one thing I do suggest though, try to model everything in quads. If its possible try to get the quads to be square. You will get the best results that way.
Re: ***MODELS and SKINS HELP/QUESTION THREAD***
Yeah, I just don't know how can I make it all quads and have the holes. I don't really want to have to skin them.

Re: ***MODELS and SKINS HELP/QUESTION THREAD***
Ya that's the difficult part, you just have to think it through and go at almost with a plan of attack. You could just make some of it triangles, I mean its not like it has to be all quads but the more the better.
Re: ***MODELS and SKINS HELP/QUESTION THREAD***
Yeah, I got it without having the holes modeled, I don't think you'll ever really see the backside of the plate and notice that the holes aren't there, so I'm just gonna skin them on the front. Thanks for the help, man.

Re: ***MODELS and SKINS HELP/QUESTION THREAD***
I assume you downloaded the files from P2sta´s Render Competition ? Then you can have a look at the gold helmet which is included and copy the colors from both difuse and specmap on to your wheels.
Tennis, Basketball and Baseball all requires one ball
Motocross requires two!
