Hey guys, I have a problem .. I bought the game, and it came with the 1.7 version. Played it and installed tracks/skins/models with no problems ... But then I installed the 1.8 version. I kept downloading skins with no problem. But then, when I download a skin/track/model, it doesn't appears in game. once , I downloaded a skin , a track and 2 gears and just the skin appeared in game. I thought it was a problem with my game, so I unistalled and installed it again. But it doesn't work too ... As I lost all skins and tracks, I downloaded the 2013 A2 and it worked. I was really happy, and downloaded a skin and 2 gears , but nothing appears, just the track. Could u help me? What's my problem ? Thanks !

you are probably missing models for them

No , because when I bought the game, immediatly I downloaded a stock 2012 kxf250. Now I reinstalled the game and it's not working anymore ... And the 2013 A2 wasn't working ... then I reinstalled the game and it worked but the other tracks didn't worked ...

there is something you are doing wrong I believe...it works for everybody else, so it has to be problem on your side. What exactly you mean they don't work, like they don't load or they load weired or they don't even show in the menu?

i'm having trouble exporting this rider model with the chest protector. attacker is trying to talk me through it in teamspeak but i don't understand. he said i have to link the protector to the upper arm armature. how do i do that?

you need to add its vertices to the torso vertex group, then get into weight drawing mode and probably add some weight to few of the vertices for the upper arm bones. its hard to expline, go to youtube and check how to do weight drawing in blender ;)

Is that how you do it??

@Ohagan
I just got to edit select the chest protector, go to the properties tab then "object data" then click torso (not sure why he told you the upper arm)
(Double note, your in that tab in your pic)
And then hit assign and it should be good, then simply sort out your uv (If you haven't already) apply rotation and scale then export.
Note, always export him in the rest position not pose or you will have some issue's.

yes its how i do it...you can export it in any position you want...well i do so and newer have problem with it...but i use blender 2.49

I guess because of the old user interface, right?

By the way, is there some good settings for metallic look reflections, like bars, engine parts, everything like that. I think they don't look same in the game that how they looks in blender.

yeah i'm kinda used to the old blender more.

um, well its hard to set the reflections right. I use values between 0.1-0.4 for the regular materials. 0.7 for chrome

it mostly depends on the enviro map of the track ingame, if there is a good one, reflections will looks good. but most tracks use the stock or a gray one, so it doesn't matter what settings you have
