I agree thats how this community should be, so far there are a few great members like Garasaki releasing his Oneal packs and PSD ect and DDMX releasing all of his work in that giant pack so I'm just following suit in an attempt to get others to do the same. Imagine the potential products this community could put out if we all helped each other and chipped in. Epic haha though it will never happen too many people are worried about fame and credit
Ya. Why do people not give it out in psd/png's? Just because they dont want anyone to take it?

Because that PSD is personal, they don't want their hard work to get molested, copied and pasted onto shit projects. MX196, you only want the PSD's so it's easier to rip parts from a PSD, layer by layer. Same reason why programmers might hand out a free program, but own all the rights to the source code. The PSD is like the source code for graphics projects, most people want to keep that for themselves and they shouldn't get bitched at by little kids who dont want to take the time to learn photoshop, you know, the copy paste kids like yourself.... isnt it enough all these people hand out the finished product for free?

Because they want the credit and "fame". Which isn't something that is bad at all, and should be hated on for wanting the credit deserved for the work put in for a quality product but in my personal opinion I think people go a bit overboard on it.

Why would someone release PNG/PSD then claim ripping? People release that stuff so others can use them and use and alter it layer by layer. Somethings like DJ's YZ/F template and metals I can agree with being kept private, the models themselfs, and personal skins and work not meant for others. But public gear/helmets for anyone to use, I dont see the harm in allowing people to alter and customize through PSD/PNG files.

But hey thats just my opinion and I will continue to feel that way, even if people opened a saf of mine and stole something, at the end of the day what I release is meant for others to use and enjoy credit or not.

Yeah, I wouldn't be worried about releasing any rider or helmet PSD. In fact, I might release my Fox Blackout if people want it. They can make it more interesting. The actual design part of the process I lack motivation for, so if people would like to make more interesting skins for it, they can.

But with the bike template, there is a far greater effort put into them. With the rider and helmet skins, the design makes the bulk of the skin. But with a bike, all the metals etc make up most of the skin. So noobs get away with making a decent looking skin with 0 effort on their behalf.

Ya. I understand the bike. A lot more work then a helmet or gear.

Firstly the gear is great.
secondly i want to add my number and name to the jersey which i have done but how do i then get it to show up in game.
i have PS im opening the Thor Combustion Green template and adding my number and name as a new layer under the shading is this right or is there a place it needs to be to work and what do i save it as for it to show up as a new gear in the bike/rider setup.

any help would be great.
Thanks

(I know this thread is old)

What do you name this gear if you don't want a neckbrace?

rider_body-thorcombustion-skinname doesn't work
