Template question

Post by Nick#126 »

If I open a template with gimp, it looks all bleu and weird. So what do I have to do to get the real gear out of the template and add my name and number to it ?
Thanks !

it is psd so it has layers, that blue weired thing is normal map, I don't know how about gimp, but you should be able to make layers visible and also hide them. so hide the spec/normal map layers and you should see the skin itself ;)

idk if you've figured it out yet, but i know when i used gimp to view the layers box you click on windows at the top and then click dockable dialogs and then layers. When the layers window is opened you can just click the eyeball to hide and unhide layers.

Yeah I know, but if I hide all the bleu layers I just still don't get the gear. And in many .psd files are so many layers and i've tried to hide layers so my gear showed up, but couldn't get it.

Usually the first few layers are the layers you take off. Send me the template and i'll see what layers are norm and spec. :)
