Upcoming Models #2
Re: Upcoming Models #2
Andy I forbid you from posting in models and skins section anymore. Every time I see your name on the latest post, I rush here to see if you released the kawi finally, but I always get disappointed.

Re: Upcoming Models #2
so now i need to redo the front number plate and i need to do the rear number plate on the exhuast side, and then both of the shrouds. thanks for the feedback everyone and yea ill show pics of the front fender without smoothing groups if anyone can tell me how to remove them.Andy_Hack wrote:I would like to see it without smotthing groupes on the front fender. and numplate looks pretty offonefotyfo wrote:ive worked/practiced on one bike ever for this game but it was a hybrid of attackers 450sx-f and yz's yz125 motor so all i did was a motor swap and nothing significant on the bike was mine. that was just a project to help myself learn. now im trying to edit stevo's kx250f .blend into a 2013 kx450f. i know the legit kx250f/kx450f will be released kind of soon, but i just wanted to take a shot in the dark to see how my second bike project in blender would stack up to the nice model by andy hack and the other 10 or so people that help to make these bikes so realistic when they release their model. anyways, i just finished the front end and i was wondering if i should keep going with this bike or just scrap it. this is my second bike project ever so try not to completely run it down, just tell me what you would normally expect from a second time blender bike. criticism is cool just try to keep it constructive. thanks for looking
oh and btw its actually just p2sta and me who are working on the bike
other than that not bad bro

Select all the vertices of the fender and hit "smooth" on the left panel. If the panel isn't showing press T.

Looks cool. But you shouldn't let the edges 'free' like the two on the front.
You should make an edge like the red ones I drew.

What I forgot to say is. If you just end those edges like that, it can cause some pretty strange shading.

Personally, I think a nice way is to block out our shape with a very low amount of details, using the absolute minimum number of polys, trying to get the shape as flowing as possible, then you will have less worry's with poly flow later on, because poly flow is very important. I would personally remove some edge splits, and just block it out more accurately first, from there on out, it just comes together.
