Is Mason still alive? Haven't seen a update on the Honda for a while. I look on the forums everyday to see if it's been realeased

Im still working on it. Currently traveling for work so wont be working on it for a few weeks, I wouldn't really wait for a release anytime soon still a lot of work to do on it.Beast2013 wrote:Is Mason still alive? Re: Upcoming Models #2
Hey Daf glad to see you starting to model.. know if i may give some advice.. im no where near as good as mason or some of the other modelers but i do understand the concept of it and how poly flow should be ( still learning alot with this one ). .. one thing i noticed on your model is you have alot of verts not connected to a edge properly.. this will cause baking/unwrapping problems. what i would recommend is taking what you have and basically remake it over the current model.. this will help you with your poly flow ( if you gotten the shaping correctly done ). i would start with one quad and extrude the sides out.. try and make each poly the same size and make sure that each edge you have does something for the model. because edges that dont do anything are just a waste of space. try and have the least amount of tri's on your model. this will help with baking and adding support edges to make a high poly. also another thing you could try would be to not model the holes in the shrouds and stuff and just alpha them in the template and then just make a normal map in Photoshop with that its just harder imo the model the holes and stuff and still get a really clean poly flow (idk how mason and them do it haha ) but really cool to see people starting modeling.. already better then when i first started :3 (#Yamaha). we all start somewhere tho keep us updated. Also Jay.. the ktm is look pretty darn sexy cant wait to see the progress on that thing!
