for a fast and pretty good looking static shading just turn your normal map into occlusion map (multiplay and opacity about 70%) ;)

I'm talking wrinkle map, not texture map. You don't really use different wrinkle maps for every gear do you? :lol:

I actually did that with my other gear and it worked fine. This wrinkle map for some reason just doesn't seem to turn into an AO well. Guess I'll have to try and find another one.

I sent him the static shading that I had for the Fox gear I was working on. I'm pretty sure it matches up to his norm and that it was yours. :lol:

I'm talking about everything he has mapped. You shade the rubber parts, stitching, stretch fabric, etc. too...

Gotcha. It's better to use the disp, though. You don't get the artifacts that you do when you use the norm.
