It's hard to tell since I'm on my phone but one thing I've found, and can be seen in T-Rider's example is it seems to work better when the diffuse is fairly low contrast and not vibrant, and have the spec be more vibrant and more color. Also don't forget to mess around with the opacity on the spec for how "sharp" it shows up. That looks a lot better than it did before though.

Not sure, it's Damien Desmond's model. TCrain did the FMF cannister, James Webb did some work on the modeling, not sure what exactly though.

Not exactly upcoming since I already posted in the models and skins thread, but I was hoping to find some constructive critism here. First skin in like 4 or 5 years, needed ages to get back into it and also started doing the normal maps myself. That equals quite a lot of hours poured into this (about 15-20h I'd say) and an ineffective .psd, but I know how to work on that. I need better textures for the fabric, but other than that, I'm pretty happy considering the few pictures that were available. Accuracy is about 70%, because if I had strived for 100% I'd have never finished this

Black out everything  Update on the pipe, I don't think the shininess is unrealistic when you look at pics of guys like Bogle's pipe at MEC ( Example )

Probably about an hour of going into the spec map and diffuse map and just adjusting everything.
