hvpunk's post inspired me for this!
just normal and specular maps in all their glory!

normal and specular maps are half the resolution of color maps, i did it just to keep low the size of the packs.
mind that right now the ktms are above 100mb and showtimes' model is 55mb..but trust meyou won't notice it ingame, as long as you want to take a close up of the clutch cover.. :)

id say try normal mapping i like shading better myself i just think im better at it but the community seems to like mapping better =/

Have you played the game at all in the last 2 months?

JLV introduced shaders into the game. It calculates and applies the shading for you. Drawing static shading like you are doing is going to look bad when the game draws dynamic shading, based on the current location of the part relative to the current location of the light source, on top of it.

You might wanna look into it. Maybe look at Gio's post. Look at the rider. All that is done with normal mapping. The game is determining where the shadows should be at any given time.
