Creating norm in blender for a model - help needed!

Post for a friend:
Hey guys, i wanted to ask if someone knows how to get norm and shadow from a model in blender, unwrap has already been done but i don't know what the next steps are to get norm and shadows. If someone can give me a little explanation/tutorial on how to do it, it would be really appreciated.

But if this model is create by low poly is a problem?
When you model you start from a higt poly and only after reduce the poly count?
