I was honestly just pointing out how ridiculous these comparisons are.

I thought all of checkerz points were valid. As were all of your guys' points.

I spent some additional time trying mx sim last night. I wouldn't call it a fun experience - it had it's moments though.

In many ways, to call MX Sim realistic is laughable. The spontaneous highsides and constant front wheel plow (seems contridictory but both seem to appear at the same time) get on ones nerves. Bales seem to be made of concrete and come with some 10 foot deep foundations too. Hurricane proof I guess...tracks must be in Florida. Generally the game failed to remind me of any real life riding experience I ever had. And I generally felt like what I did with my controller had no apparent effect on what happened to the bike in the game.

On the other hand, there were isolated moments when the game felt absolutely perfect. I loved how, although it seemed completely random, I was able to steer with the back wheel and power thru corners. I liked how much input you had to give to make a clean lap (well section - I certainly never completed a clean lap) and how you had to plan lines. I liked the independent front and rear brake. Those isoloated moments revealed the immense potential of the game. I can see how, after a few months of practice, the game could be really awesome. If the creator could get the suspension to do something, introduce left/right rider lean, and get front wheel traction figured out, this game could REALLY BE SOMETHING AWESOME.

I think the comparison between MXSim and MvA is really interesting. What MvA does well (being fun from minute 1, suspension movement, bumps, whoops, cornering - which MvA does really well in some circumstances, where the trackmaker takes advantage of the physics) MXSim is just terrible at.

What MvA lacks - brakes, unrealisitic speeds (especially thru corners), a dead feeling in the air, MX Sim does REALLY well.

It is almost as if MX Sim was made as a direct response to MvA.

I agree.

At first, the game didn't feel realistic at all, and now I really believe that the game may have helped me ride in real life. It gives you an experience of cornering, breaking, etc, without being fatigued. It made me get back into the brake late gas early system. When I ride, I always need to remind myself of that, and after MXS it came more natural to me. Along with that, I would say that it helps with reaction times. (Start gates, cornering, fixing errors, etc.), granted, those aren't directly related to real life.

Now I'm at the point where I'm riding supercross, and if I do it normal, I don't crash, but when I get into the push-myself mode, I'll start to make mistakes, like I would in real life. And actually just yesterday I was amazed by how much I was doing in rhytem sections on Indy. In the section after the finish, I double-double-triple-double, and in that, I was using both brakes, my clutch, scrubbing the doubles, and putting it all together smoothly. I was like "Wow, when the fuck did this get so realistic?"

Not to be a dick, but yeah I totally agree with Puma.
You did really hype up your track, and got everyone got anxious, especially when you said you'd have a beta by the weekend.

Eh, I know.

It's not that I don't mind everyone asking, i kind if like it.

It helps me keep on track, but I was just pointing out how many people had asked already.
