Mission Valley DOS

Post by checkerz »

http://puremxs.com/Tracks/TrackViewer.aspx?TrackID=236

The dusty hills of Mission Valley return to the national circuit with a new layout to challenge the top racers in MXS. Thanks to everyone who helped with the original Mission Valley, and the Vent crew for bringing the second iteration to life. Big thanks to JB323 for his help with the decals and objects, as well as losing the timing gates file 3 times. Hats of to Wheels for hooking it up with shadows and all the other environment goodies.

mission valley was definitely in my top 5 of best MX tracks. hoping for this one to be even better.

thanks to everyone for putting in their hard work.

now I have to make a choice between this and Portal 2. Sigh, life poses some difficult choices.

I prefer this version over the original for some reason, well done to everyone who was involved!.

Also people who dont have the first mission valley in their personal folder will need it because lots of things dont show up such as textures etc.

Yes, you must have original MIssion Valley installed. My bad.

Also, left the track un-safed, feel free to use anything in there for learning EXCEPT FINISH GATE AND DECALS, as they aren't mind. DJ's Decals and DDMX finish gate, you need their permission to use.

Feel free to use the finish line gate (model), but the tex isn't mine. Did you mess with the traction at all?

nope, so don't be popping the clutch or you'll wheelie. this traction works really well with braking bumps and for close racing, i'm a fan of it.

i'm a huge fan of the way you make ruts and bumps. it fits mxs really good. also great job on the track, i love it.

although i do think some tabletops are a bit over scaled seeing how they were on the original track.

perfect bro those jumps fuck!
you must have some killer dreams man to come up with layouts like that. You should contract yourself out to design private tracks for rich az up and comers on there 50 hectare farms that they only use 500 square meters of.

He already does that, except he builds tracks for THQ.

Awesome track, NO LAG! What did you do differently compared to version 1? For me, version 1 is unplayable do to that much lag.

There is only 1 3D tree model this time is the main difference. We went with the billboard trees instead in hopes of running some full online races on this track.
