We decided to switch to real names for the professionalism of our live stream. If we didn't have a live stream, we could care less, but saying "And there goes BallSucker117motox into the lead" is pretty bad when we have 100 people (not all MXS players) watching our live broadcasts! During races we don't live stream, you may run whatever name you want.bob117 wrote:whats up with the switch to real names? wouldnt it be better for secruity reasons to keep it the way it was? idk if its just me, but i preferred game names to the real ones.
As for security, having your first and last name displayed doesn't really hurt anything, as there are tons of people with the same first/last name combo. Nothing about your location is published, so who can distinguish between you and someone in China with the same name?
Naming Convention:
First Name<space>Last Name<space>|<space>Team
i.e.
Michael Wheeler | Race Factory
if you don't have a team, leave it off.
i.e.
Michael Wheeler
If you log in to racefactory and go to the signups page, if you are signed up, it will display what your name should look like(teams may be a little off right now, dont worry about that part).
