Shifting Sound Effect (I'll record, give feed back)

Post by BowserYo »

Hello, I recently purchased MX Simulator and I really like it! I have access to a recording studio here and a kx 125 (i.e. I can record some sound effects for MXS).

I noticed that JLV has no sound effects of the bike shifting gears. Not a major thing but I think it would add to the feel/realism of the game if JLV would maybe add a neutral gear and have you start the race in it, then kick it into first gear the bike jumps forward a few inches (like all bikes do) and you hear the sound effect. Of course this would be barely audible at high speed/throttle.

What do you guys think? JLV, would you use this or no? I'm actually going to be selling the bike in a bit so don't wait to long :D.

Thanks!

I don't think it's worth it. I'd probably do chain noise and suspension bottoming sounds before that.

Roger, as your developing the game, I don't know how hard that would be to implement.

Double DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Sorry just wanted to do that for a while.

Chain slap and suspension bottoming would be awesome. You should have the rider make a little grunt when the suspension bottoms. And have him suck his breath in just before a crash.

Maybe a little bit of huffin and puffin too.

That seems to happen a lot when I ride. It's a prominant noise. :D

Should I ask what your riding? I don't think we're on the same subject.
