un-wrapping
It would be awesome if someone could make a tutorial on how to un-wrap an object. What I mean is when you unwrap it how can you move the different parts around in the uv/image editor screen? I always use unwrap(smart projections) and it is tough when you have multiple faces and such. thanks

Re: un-wrapping
Learn to use the mark seam function. To do this, be in edge select, select edges you dont want joined when you unwrap, press ctrl+e, and go mark seam. An orange line will appear on the edge. Hit u, and unwrap.
Try it out on a box first, to see how it works. Marks seams on the edges as if you dismantling a cardboard box. You should get an unwrap like this once you do it right
As for controls in the uv editor, g is grab, s is scale (hit x or y after s to scale in those directions only), b for border select, a for select/unselect all, w for weld/alignment of uv vertices.
