Rubiks Cube / Speedcubing

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Rubiks Cube / Speedcubing

Post by Wahlamt »

Is there anyone in here that is into this stuff? I've hard to believe that I'm the only one here.

Personally I've been "cubing" since the fall of 2010, I went over with my family for a 1day-trip to Denmark. Went into a store and found some cubes for like 2$ each, which is a really good price considering a Rubiks brand cube is 10x more. Bough 2 of them since my old one broke earlier that summer. Started to watch youtube tutorials to get the basics. I had really no knowledge about speedcubing at the time, so I kept my method and just solved it over and over again. After a while some local guys had a course for beginners as well as people who could solve it. I went there and made a few friends and learned a lot.

My first competition was in 2012, loads of fun! Since than, I've been to a total of 6 competitions. My official stats can be found here, with official, it's the times you've scored at competitions.

My pb's at home are (approximately):
  • 3x3 Single - 13s
  • 3x3 Average - 18.5s
  • 2x2 Single - 2s
  • 2x2 Average - 5s
  • 4x4 Single - 1min 10s
  • 4x4 Average - 1min 20s
  • 5x5 Single - 3min
  • 6x6 Single - 7min
  • 7x7 Single - 12min
Any of you that solves, or are interested in any way? :)

I only solved one in my life and that was because I moved the stickers around.

Got my first blindfolded solve done today, so pumped!

Code: Select all

1: (9:52,51)
D' F2 B' U2 D' R' F' R U' R2 B2 D R2 B2 U' L2 D F2 D
Below 10 minutes too so would been counting as official at a competition too 8) Took me literally 10 years to learn blindfolded, just a weak/no effort previously
