Ok. So if you finish the series in 63rd place, you earn number 63?
mxsrider96 wrote:That also doesn't include AMs
So does that mean AMs can't earn #s?

Not exactly. Usually, the top 99 will include riders with career numbers, which throws things off a little bit. And then you also have to factor in any new career numbers

If you turn pro, and score enough points by the end of outdoors, then you would earn a number. But without being pro, it's most likely not possible. The whole point of the amateur class is to learn to race so you can graduate to pro, so handing out numbers to people who may only be amateurs for another half season is pointless

Alright. Thank you! So would it be if you got 63rd place, you would have 63rd pick at a number?

I'm not entirely sure how to explain it while typing, so take a look at that

This might be of more help to you. http://racerxonline.com/2011/10/07/race ... al-numbers Article from 2012 about how numbers work, everything is correct except the part where he says 250sx doesn't count towards the points. They changed that and now 250sx east and west points do count. For example I finished 55th in points last year but with people earning single digits and choosing career numbers, I ended up with #57.

I think they will continue to do UID grab at 6pm PST, but I might be getting home late from work as well (no later than 6:30 PST time) but still, I know the 450 heats won't start until around 6:30 anyways.

Wanted to re-state this as there seems to be some confusion...

You only need an A license to ride the 250 Pro class for SX.

You need a Pro license to ride the 450 Pro class for SX.

Pretty much anyone can get an A license.

It is really difficult and you must really prove yourself to be both trouble free (bans/protests/etc.) and on the pace to get a Pro license.

I have denied a lot of Pro license requests from guys who aren't ready for that, but are guys just wanting to ride the 250 class I assume. If you are one of those guys, submit an A license and it will likely be granted.
