Same as always, you can cut it, but if you make contact with someone when you do it it's all on you and can be protested like a track cut takeout.

So do it at your own risk, and please not on the first lap ppl
I sure as hell hope not. I didn't bust my ass making the lanes work for everyone to plow over fucking bales all week making the section just look stupid as can be.

Not sure why solid collisions aren't on the bales there like intended. /endrant.

I was just going off of what was said for the Atlanta split lane last year, along with Glen Helen and Millville. If I can get through the bales like this track allows and no announcement was made stating it wasn't allowed, then I'm going to assume the cut at your own risk concept would still apply to this. I agree with not allowing it Checkerz , just assumed that if the bales aren't solid that it would still be the case.

Has anybody successfully used the china wall in the middle of the whoops as an on-off?

I don't know about everybody else but I really hope we aren't allowed to cross the split in the race. Yea everyone's doing it now but that kinda defeats the purpose of the section especially come race time when you could make a pass there. Btw nice track for what in my opinion is a pretty weird layout, but it still flows though.

Here's what i wrote about the cutting line for our little local serie :
M@xTizZz wrote:ok guys i'll give my opinion about the cutting line in the last 2 corners.

Actually you CAN do it during your qualifying laptime since it's impossible to check everyone's laptimes.

We are really far of the cutting line during the 2015 Monster Energy Cup qualifying.
Here we got 2 corners split in 2 parts by a little ledge. They put bales in the top of this ledge but i think they just couldnt make them solid because corners are already not that wide, if you make them solid it decreases the wideness of this part (since when you start to take angle, you don't have too much place to not collide the bale) and can possibly cause pile up during the race, also the 2nd inside corner would have been really hard to ride.
When i went online on an elsinore server 30mn after the release of the track, i saw a lot of guys doing it, and the majority of fastest guys were doing it also. First i thought it was bullshit but then i started to use my brain and finally noticed there were no other option for the trackmaker to make them in an other way. Maybe by doing the ledge more deep but the 2 insides ruts would have been also deeper...
In my personal opinion, it should NOT be allowed during the race.
I'll talk with Bruno and Kristoffer and we'll decide and post the decision during the day.

And yeah emc guys actually do it, at least Nicot, Lelong and me, dunno for others emc ...

usually they allow it but if you take someone out doing it, it is considered an intentional take out, and you will penalized accordingly...at least thats how they have always done it.

Cameras for tonight! Round 7 Arlington

How to make them work
  1. Download the file
  2. Extract the folder within
  3. Copy (or move) the newly extracted folder to your personal folder.
  4. If you already have a folder by the same name (if you've run time trial for example), the choose to merge the two folders.
  5. Make sure you've restarted the game after you've added the cameras.
Put the whole folder in your personal folder. In case you already have such a folder, merge them.

Yea I remember what they said about it last year but I just personally feel like that's taking away from what could possibly be an interesting section to race on. And I know checkerz wouldn't be pumped to see that after he worked on getting the lanes as even as possible. Obviously I don't make the decisions at all lol but just in my opinion I would rather see the cut not allowed

If I was racing and taking the split normally, and saw someone was going to try to pass me by cutting that section, I'd do my best to make contact with them. Would be their fault no? Should teach them not to do it anymore .

Let's put it this way. If I wasn't out of town, I would sit in the server watching that section and kick every single person that crossed over. It's just stupid. If I knew we weren't going to get solid bales and the cross wasa going to be legal I would've opened it all the way up and actually helped racing out.

Final piece hit send too early.

I would treat crossing over like going off track. If you accidently do it, you need to rejoin safely without making contact with another rider, gaining time or a position. You're not allowed to purposely do it.

Problem solved.

I totally agree with Burkeen and Checkers. In my opinion the tough blocks are there for a reason and so is the wall between the lines. You should take which ever one you go faster through. The only reason people hop over is because they want faster laps and in my opinion they are just lieing to themselves because i think it's cutting the track. If the tough blocks are there , you shouldn't be aloud to go through them. It seems like anytime in this game there is a split lane people have to cheat through it it's kinda pathetic lol. If everyone took one line or the other like intended it's not like anyone would be slower than they normally are they just would have a slightly slower time. I.e: I have a 53.5 on a 250 by taking outside then inside because I refuse to cut the track. Sure if I hopped from the inside over I may drop down into the 52s but it's not how the track is built. It's dumb that I spectated a lot of guy that got 52s or 53s by jumping over those tough blocks just for a lap time that I don't do so they get better laps and essentially if I want to be competitive at that point you have to take the line. End rant lol

These are the rules regarding the split lane, that will be applied to the EMF races tonight:

You can NOT cross over the bales before the finish line. What happens if you cross over?
  • During Heat/LCQ races: If you're seen taking this line, you will be kicked from the race.
  • During the main: If you do this during the main you will be disqualified. We will check the demos afterwards to verify that no-one took the line.
  • If you do the line and crash some other rider, you may most likely get a ban too.
