2017 Supercross Discussion

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

Lastly, you can hear someone panic rev when they're under the tunnel, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Reed doing it to scare Dungey a bit. I don't know, maybe I'm looking too deeply into the situation.

Heat race was fine. I'm a huge reed fan, but if you defend reed in the main, or think it was funny, or cool or okay, you're a fucking idiot. He lost a lot of respect from me, and most of his fans last night.

I lost respect for Reed at Castillo when he pulls up in his range rover, does 3 laps tells his mechanic the bike fucking sucks then leaves.

For all of you guys that are "big Reed fans", since when have you been fans? From when he battled Carmichael and stuff, I just remember him being bitchy and salty. However most top guys seemed to be it back then. For me, he's just seemed to bit a bit more chill/cool the last few years. Just personal opinion + I could never properly follow AMA MX/SX when I was younger.

Both points leaders affected by lappers being idiots. You'd think it was an rF race.

I don't recall Savatgy being messed up by lappers, only by his own mistakes. I also don't recall a lot of the 250 main, so maybe you can refresh my memory?

Lapper lagging in the main line and Savatgy gets hung up on his left bar trying to pass him and has to take his hand off the bars to bang his brake lever up into position. It ruined his progress he was making on Smith, very similar to Reed holding up Dungey's progress on Tomac. I saw people even posting cries for penalties. I know that a lot of people say to just go around, but it was pretty one-lined and it seemed that quite a few were ignoring blue flags.

I remember that now, Savatgy had to whack at his brake lever a few times which cost him a considerable amount of time. Hopefully, Seattle will provide more lines, better racing, and better lappers (although Savatgy won't be there to prosper from it anyway)

It has made for a very non-linear storyline this season.

Start at 13:39
The difference between Coates and reed was that Coates was trying to see if another leader was coming so he could move and unfortunately for Savatgy, forgot to turn enough in the process. Had nothing to do with him not moving for the leaders as much as he was just in a shitty spot.

Yeah, Coates was trying to move to the outside (left side) of the start straight and Savatgy tried threading the needle around the outside of the lapper. Bummer for him.

I didn't see any posts about this, but close call for Cody...

Cody has a non displaced fracture of c3 and c7 in his neck. The non displacement is the good news because there's no floating pieces. He still has all his movement and is in good spirits considering. He may or may not need surgery doctor said. Neck brace could possibly be all he needs but they can't be certain til they know more. The kid is natural born fighter and obviously could be much, much worse but feel to throw out some positive thoughts thru out the weekend.

Yea, scary deal. Good news based on how bad it could've been. Cody's back home and seeing a specialist out in CA this week. Unfortunately, I think STL 2017 was most likely the last professional SX race for the journeyman privateer.

Does anyone know if Reed has had an interview/expressed his thoughts over Saturday night? If so, where can I read/view?
