Re: 2017 Outdoor Discussion
You said an opinion, I defended an opinion, and yet somehow thats impossible to carry a conversation with? I used previous examples and limitations he will have to overcome that seemed reasonable. You said we are living in a fantasy world and he doesn't have super powers. I think my comment gave someone more to communicate with that what you are saying which seems aggressive.Ddavis wrote:There's literally no communicating with you guys.
I'm starting to feel like you know something we don't. Do you know how serious his injury is? His doctor said he wouldn't be able to use utensils again and it would be difficult to make a fist, too. Both things I'm pretty sure he is capable of doing now.sethiemeboi wrote:do you have any idea how serious his injuries are?mxsrider96 wrote:I'm sorry, I forgot you were a medical doctor and you knew all this by heart after years if medical school, internship, and residency. My bad
Bummer about Jordan Smith but not surprising either. The fact he walked away from the crash after his leg being wrapped up like that is crazy. Really hoping AC can keep his momentum going but Zach/Hill/Martins are going to be tough. Wild cards AP if he can start and Ferrandis, he seemed quick but couldn't hold the pace and I'm guessing it was arm pump not fatigue. Outdoors would be something he is more comfortable with so might not affect him.
Re: 2017 Outdoor Discussion
Oh just wait he'll hurt his ankle in practice or something But I hope he does well. He's had a pretty decent amount of time to train for this season I think.JConley691 wrote:Really hoping to see Sextohn in 250's this year. Been waiting since last summer to see what he can do.
Re: 2017 Outdoor Discussion
Well looks like Jordan Smith won't really be a contender this season as he's just announced he's sitting out this weekend.. Bummer
Re: 2017 Outdoor Discussion
Many medical professionals told Jimmy Alberston that his back was going to be a glass shell the rest of his life and every little thing he did was going to be dangerous. They wanted to fuse 4-5 of his vertbraes together essentially RUINING any movement he once enjoyed in his back. He actually had a bad back already in what I would guess was a deformity caused by injury, no surgeon wanted to deal with it so he just pushed through. He found a specialist through Red bull that said he would.. Jimmy isn't just expected to have his back to the way it was, it will BETTER. It's actually a really good interview on RacerX with Jimmy and his doctor about it.sethiemeboi wrote:thanks for recognizing me, but i'm only agreeing with the professionals that ARE working on his arm dude.mxsrider96 wrote:Yes, I do, but I'm not gonna sit here and pretend that I know whether he's guaranteed to be back or not like you are. I hope he makes it back and I hope he rides at the level he was before crashing. But I have absolutely no clue whether he will or not, unlike Seth, the Forum Medical Expert apparentlysethiemeboi wrote: do you have any idea how serious his injuries are?
They told RV his leg break was career ending when he pretty much disconnected his foot from his body. Then he went and won 4 SX titles in row. Just because there is majority, doesn't mean the majority is always right. That actually holds up with some of the "craziest" science discoveries in history.
Many people said Kenny would never hold a utensil again. He just posted a video on Instagram of him riding a Honda Grom one handed (bad hand) while filming and he was squeezing in the clutch lever with what seemed to be good response timing. He had one of the best elbow surgeons in the world that all he does is repair elbows. He has the best physical therapy money can buy and all the time/support to do it.
It very well can be career ending. We don't know until he throws a leg over the bike months from now.

So, did you talk to these professionals? Because the only source of information I've seen that I trust has been Roczen showing that he's getting use of his arm much quicker than anyone could've anticipated. People can speculate all they want, but at the end of the day, the only people who know how well Roczen is doing, and know whether he will be racing again or not are Kenny himself, his family, and the doctor(s) and nurse(s) helping nurse him back to 100%sethiemeboi wrote:but i'm only agreeing with the professionals that ARE working on his arm dude.
I know everyone's reaction to this is going to be, "Wrestling is fake no one really got injured blah blah I'm a fucking idiot" but I'm going to say it anyway. In the early 2000s, Triple H was wrestling in a tag team match and tore his quad just by stepping down wrong. He was told by doctors that if he ever sees the inside if a wrestling ring again, it'll be a fucking miracle and a half. He had all his extensive surgeries, physical therapy and other things of that sort, and was back wrestling within 18 months. Went onto continue wrestling full time for another 6(?) years and still wrestles 1-4 or 5 matches every year. That should serve as hope that Roczen will be back for anyone that can see past the ignorant "Wrestling is fake" argument

He's backing off a little at least. Went from it being a fact to just being usual. What a little bitch.

I figured I'd give him a chance after winning the 450 main. Bad idea I know.
