Re: 2017 rF Pro and Amateur Nationals
By the way I think Connor missed my point. If someone is behind you and faster than you, than of course you're going to ride past your limits to keep them behind you. I mean, isn't that what you did all year long in SX with Lynds?Holyak via PM titled ur trash wrote:If you can't beat someone without taking them out, you don't deserve the position. Feel free to post this in the thread so everyone can see why I sent the protest and.

I mean, sure, why not waste rF's time reviewing a protest instead of your own precious time...Ddavis wrote: I should have re-watched it again before protesting it.

As far as "getting the boot" for colliding with someone, no. If you re-read the protests post, it says "No penalty"; meaning it isn't even a warning. Should you cross the line from aggressive to dirty (see below) or form a pattern (repeatedly cleaning guys, which you'd get a warning for), you have no reason to fear.
Aggressive vs. dirty - For those who may wonder, I'm happy to be transparent with the process when reviewing these incidents. First off, they suck because they aren't black and white and we do our best to always rule fairly. If any of these things happen, there is a high liklihood it'll get penalized as dirty versus aggressive:
- Cutting the track
- Riding so that continuing your race should the other rider not have been there would have been next to impossible (you would've blown the turn for example)
- If we feel your intentions were to only clean the other rider out with disregard to either of your races.
That's just a guideline of what we're looking at. It isn't black and white, so it is 100% situational, and we always do our best to review it as fairly and accurately as possible. Anytime you make contact you are risking a penalty because it becomes a judgement call, but I think if you look back through the years our record on calling them is usually pretty consistent.

Just a heads up so you guys know, mxslobby 04 restarted on me when I was on a qualifying lap, I think it's supposed to be set so it doesn't restart until all active riders have requested.
