Upcoming Models #2
Re: Upcoming Models #2
You will get better with practice man,for a start its not bad you can always tweak the shapes later.that's what is cool about modeling the ability to adapt the shape as you learn more.

Re: Upcoming Models #2
The forks i modeled after are showa's that came stock on some rieju drac 50 cc's. I added them so it wouldnt look so empty, i have a lot left to do on the model. I definitely appreciate the pictures since i didnt find a good pic from the side, i will make the frame thicker and add some curve to the swingarm. There are nicer ways to tell people that they could improve, it seems like the first guy to tell someone that they are doing it wrong is andyAaron Hall wrote: If you look past the 'harsh' comments from andy he is actually trying to help. Not really that hard to understand what he means
1. He is saying the frame is too thin you either want to remodel it or make it fatter
2.Shock reservoir is way off in size
3.save polys, add them somewhere else where the detail is needed
4.make the swingarm curve more as it isnt just a straight rod
5.use better preview pics, maybe ones which he has provided
Also here are the forks i modeled after, they're not gonna be on the final product either way

Re: Upcoming Models #2
try inverting red channel in normal map, the bakes don't seem to work right. Or green channel or both. depends on what you used for baking it

If you're baking your normal map in blender invert the red and green channels.

I still think Tech 8's look better than Tech 10's. Always thought the 10's looked like a road racing boot.
