Help with new snapshot

I'm trying to download the new snapshot since every time I try to enter a server it says, "client to old". However, the directions to do so that I've found on the forums and you tube are not working. MY MX sim file does not say mx.exe when I downloaded it and im super confused. I tried replacing it with the new one and it never works. help lol

all i ever do on a new snapshot is move out the old one, then just rename the new on "mx.exe" works for me
