Grouping objects

Grouping objects

In blender ive tried grouping 2 objects and when I do 1 of the objects UV maps disappear

They both need to be mapped to the same UV before joining.

Open your properties window, go to object data tab (the one with the upside down triangle), go down to UV, change the uv name of one so it matches the other (note that these names are case sensitive). Then just select them and hit CTRL + J.
