Free gear/bikes/models

I have been away from the game since 2016. I just got back into Sim a couple of days ago, and wanted to get some up to date gear/bikes/models. Well that didn't happen what so ever. Everything I tried to download wouldn't let me unzip. I did some more research and found our about this JRE v2 model. Then people are selling the gear based off that model. So what happened> How did it get to this point. Also can someone point me in the direction of some free gear/bikes/tracks?

TM Factory Racing still has lots of skins on it you can download for free, all the bikes since 2017 or 18 are all for sale, but there are some older models that are high quality you can get.
