Distance slider on first person camera
As the title says. Could a distance slider be added to the first person camera, instead of just the fov slider?

Probably best done as a third person option since if you moved it much at all it'd no longer be first person. When I do UI scripting I'll make it possible to create fully customized camera positioning.

What about independent fov sliders for 1st and 3rd person cameras?

That might make sense.

Re: Distance slider on first person camera
I think the problem is with this method you have to assume everyone is sitting the proper distance away from their screen for their monitor size. In games like iRacing or Assetto Corsa, you get a fov slider aswell as a distance slider because you have to adjust fov based on monitor size and distance. If that calculation comes out to an unusable fov for your rig setup, then you move the distance slider to compensate.
Correct me if im wrong, but id rather have correct fov and incorrect position than a correct position forcing me to run incorrect fov because of my monitor size/distance to monitor.
Previously you mentioned clipping with the rider model. Thats a valid issue I dont have an answer for, but personally I would just use the setting you already gave us in game "hide first person rider". Id rather have a comfortable 1st person cockpit over seeing my riders arms honestly.
I appreciate you trying to keep things proper by making the "eyes" in the correct spot, but its a pain for those of us with monitors and desk setups that dont allow us to sit the proper distance needed to make it work. Im not sure if im making any sense but a distance slider is something ive always wanted. If I run the proper fov calculation, then I cant see anything. Can't see my front fender, no idea where it is. If i sit close enough to my monitor to make 110 fov "proper" then my eyes start burning within minutes lmao
