Agree with that, but the one with Valentino is awesome tooOhagan75 wrote:Love the slower shutter speeds on the first two. The blurring is awesome.
Here are some of my mx pics. All taken with Nikon D5100 and stock-cheap 18-105mm

Re: Photography
This is my 2nd attempt at MX photography. Im using a Fujifilm finepix s1600 camera with standard lense. Do you guys have any tips for settings, positioning on the track etc. Also, i can't afford a new camera at the moment, so im trying my best with this. Uploaded using imgur so the quality isn't so good.

Re: Photography
Thanks for the comments guys!
Mike, try to set up the settings manually. If you don't know how to, google is your friend. Try to learn about shutter speed, aperture and ISO.
Mainly, there are 2 types of mx shots: the 'freeze' and the panning.
If you want to 'freeze' the picture, you need to have a shutter speed higher than 1/500. If you want a panning (motion blur), you will need a slow shutter speed. Start with 1/160 and then slow it down as you start feeling confortable. Remember that you need to follow the bike with the camera, so that you get the rider in focus and the background blurred.
Now, just search the web and try to learn your camera! You'll find it easier than it looks. Good luck
