Thats a nice tutorial.

It lacks examples though. I see a bunch of comments about how a track "has nice shading2x work". I would like to see exactly what that means.

the shadingx2 file it´s like you have a big image over the whole map, what this does is to apply shadingx2.ppm to your mx simulator terrain in "multiply" blending, so it respects lights and shadows, but you can colorize the terrain.
take yfmx´s track and update the shading, you´ll see the difference that shadingx2 does :)

I'll send you off the shadingx2 PSD I made for Millville tomorrow, so you can have a bit of a pick at it.

Go to the editor on that track and click save. Look in the track folder. Delete the folder when done ;).

Actually my shadingx2 file is the same as the normal shading file.

Have you thought about not having a different type of track contest style? Supermoto comes to mind, or now with the Enduros, we could do that. Freestyle? Freeride areas?

(Dont steal my idea anyone:

I have been working on a golf course for a while now, and that'd be interesting to implement in for a supermoto.)

I have thought about it, as I would love some more enduro tracks. I was just worried on the amount of entries. Perhaps just making it a Miscellaneous track competition. But voting would be hard.
