I had not, but did one. Now it booted as usual with both RAM sticks in slot 2-4. Thanks!

Worked for 15 minutes, then it froze... And wouldn't boot, just as before. Seems to run fine though with either of the RAM sticks in slot 2... 1-3 did not work either.

So I decided to go with an Intel 600p 256 GB m.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD and 8 GB of Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR 2400 RAM. Not the fastest m.2 SSD on the market, but for 112$ it's cheaper than an 850 Evo Pro SATA SSD. Read is around 1500 MB/s and the write is 550MB/s should be good enough for gaming.

I'm so happy this happened. I knew about the whole VRAM issue when I purchased my 970 and it has served me well for th past couple of years. But since this lawsuit, I get $30 back and Amazon lets me return it for the full value I paid for it. So I'm returning it and getting my refund and buying a 1070 for basically $100.

I don't even need a card of this caliber but I guess it's great future proofing. Maybe some day I'll get a 1440 monitor! But I feel like anyone would snag a 1070 for $100 if they had the chance!

Got my new pc setup and she runs like a champ. Rising storm all settings maxed 64 players with a capped frame rate of 62 and she never went below 61. Like playing a different game on ultra vs medium. Will have to mess with monitor tomorrow to increase the refresh rate.

Windows 10 doesn't seem bad after you disable all the Spyware crap. Only thing I hate are the auto updates which don't even tell you it's downloading. Then I kept thinking something was wrong with my internet cause it was so slow.

Now I only need to get faster internet 512KB/s is painfully slow for downloading updates to games and dlc.

I highly recommend Windows 10 pro for the update reasons. It gives you more options more like previous versions of windows.

I just tested my 470, i'm happy. The card is silent, it keeps to 60-70C with fans between 0 and 30%.
On bf4 i can run all ultra, and get between 70 and 110fps, lowest frame rate recorded was a 61fps with a big explosion.
On dying light i can run all ultra (half view distance) and get 55-80fps.
I'm surprised that with sim (in single, had no possiblity to test 40 man gate) i can rull all maxed with textures 512x512 and get 125fps locked, while with my old 280x/380 i was getting 90-110fps sometimes. Best 200$ card i've ever seen. I can't get too high with oc, before it crashes (with Heaven) i can just get stable @1365 on core (base is @1256) and @1805 on memory (base is @1750).
