I'm pretty sure you won't be able to play with 40 people with the HD models, probably have to go with some stock, or old models for that. But it should be able to handle 15-20 maybe? More if jlv ever gets around to optimizing the graphics engine >.>

It's the models that need to be optimized, not the engine. There's nothing I can do to magically make the engine draw a 10,000 polygon model as quickly as a 1,000 polygon model. To be usable in big races the models need to have lower LODs with less geometry.

Ah, I guess you're right, for some reason I wasn't thinking that through, my pc can handle 20+ riders with the default models, like the ones in the demo. But only about 5 of DJ's yz-f's without consistently dropping below 25 fps.
Guess I should have thought that through more thoroughly before I accused your game of something, I apologize for that.

I didn't take any offense, I'm just explaining that there's nothing I can do in the engine that will suddenly make those models efficient. I'll probably take a shot at making an efficient HD wheelset if Wheels17 doesn't beat me to it.
