Re: Niklas Sandbox NATIONAL sneak peak
No, its not the grass which is the problem. The problem would be the ground texture. You may noticed, that I put one big decal (16k) all over the map. If the terrain gets bigger, then the ground texture (16k) gets more undetailed. I'm trying to reduce this loss by placing smaller decals with a norma...

Re: Niklas Sandbox MX 2.0 - 3D scanning on next level
Hello everyone, This is a sneak peak to my upcoming track "Niklas Sandbox NATIONAL". In the moment I'm placing the last trees, tuff blocks and some grass. Then I will enhance the performance, so that you don't get to much lag :D Sorry for the bad quality, next time I will use a better recorder... Kn...

Re: Niklas Sandbox NATIONAL sneak peak
I really like your ruts and dirt and stuff. but I don't like your track layouts. u need to do this with a pro AMA or GP track. that would be great. Yes, making a replica of a real AMA or GP track would be sick. I definately plan this for my next tracks, but currently I stick to my fictional tracks....

Re: level of detail for statues
ahh, got it. This is a good idea, eventhough my track isn't that big. So a total disapearing object would look bad for me.
Anyway, can I also create a _lod.png for low res textures? Or is this created automatically?

Re: level of detail for statues
Thank you very much.
Lod was easier than I thought. I didn't had to create a text file to made it working. I just had to add the ending _lod6 for example and it worked fine.

level of detail for statues
I was wondering if there is an option to use a low res .jm when a statue is far away, and when you come near to it, the statue will switch to an high res version. I have seen this on some tracks, but I can't find a topic on this. Also I'm not sure, if the low res version on this tracks are automatic...

Re: statues don't show backface
ok, then I get some more leaves, but they still aren't as much as in Blender. There you weren't able to see the trunk, but in Mx Simulator I can still see it.
And the problem with the texture on the trunk?
