Re: Game Suggestions
Why not use php instead of .net? That way you don't need a Windows server.

Re: New rider test
What slow factor do you like? I'm trying to see if there's a relationship between what stability and slow factor people like.

Re: New rider test
Joe - what setting do you prefer for slow damping factor? I'll put in a new control if I have to but I'd really prefer to keep it all in one setting if possible. Since Garasaki likes 30 stability and 2.0 slowing damp factor I'm thinking maybe the middle (40-60) stability settings are too slow. The h...

I don't want to make the stability setup overly complicated. Maybe set it to 1.5 at 40 stability and 2.0 and 60? Would everyone be ok with that?

Re: New rider test
I played around with this last night, and changing the factor level up to around 2 makes a gigantic difference (for the better). However, the setting never seemed to "stick" - I seemed to have to change it every time I started a new race or if I changed any of my suspension settings. I think I read...

Re: New rider test
Can you expand at all on what each of those settings does? Slow damping factor controls how much the stabilizer steers into the direction of your roll rate. Slow damping speed is the speed where the effect tapers off to 0. For the splicing script, it just needs bike_state_size to be updated to 39 a...

Sorry about that. The changes were fairly radical so I wanted to make sure everyone liked it first.

Re: New rider test
So far I have models with bone weights exporting from blender and importing into the game and about 90% of the code to make the bones influence the rider mesh.

Add 1.57 to the angles or rerun the script with the coordinates in the opposite order.

Re: New rider test
There's a hidden menu under the stability contol that lets you adjust roll resistance at slow speeds. Press * with the stability control selected and adjust "Slow Damping Speed" (feet per second) and "Slow Damping Factor".

The dark lines are 10 feet apart. The light ones are 2.5 feet.

It's pretty much what you'd expect - rigid bodies connected by the appropriate joints.
