You can change which way the steering goes by changing "Reversed Steering" under "Bike Setup". The way the bars turn vs. the way you lean will always be opposed in a realistic two wheeler simulation. Next time you're out riding, try turning the bars to the left and holding it there for as long as yo...

The four stokes power curves are from the real life 2007 models. I'm going to put in the 2008 numbers soon, but I'm not sure if they will have more low end torque or not. Of the 2007 bikes, the KX makes the most torque at low RPMS (<= 7000) and the RM makes to most peak torque but you have to rev mo...

Don't forget you can panic rev and brake while airborn to raise and lower the front wheel.

You can also use the gyro effect of the front wheel to make mid air adjustments, but it takes a lot of practice to get the hang of it. Once you're used to it you can land some really crazy stuff.

is there any chance that you can make a sandy tracks? like it fills like your actally riding on sandy tracks. that would be awsome if you could. :D The game engine allows you to set rolling resistance + coefficient of friction for each type of ground tile. So currently you could make something that...

Question for track designers

What software do you use to edit height fields and what formats does it output?

Would it be good enough if I could read in a 16 bit greyscale png?

It makes the rider sit down, at slow speeds it makes the rider put his foot down too.

Thanks for the great feedback guys. Shadow, I pretty much agree with everything you wrote. While I would like the game to be easier, I don't want to do it by applying artificial outside forces on the bike. I'd like to keep it "clean" in the sense that everything you do in the game could for the most...

ok my graphics card is a VIA/SG3 UniChrome Pro IGP If there is any way you can help me please tell me! :D On this site: http://www.s3graphics.com/en/products/unichrome/ they claim it supports OpenGL. It might help to try the drivers on that site, but you'll have to decide for yourself if it's worth...

MX Simulator requires accelerated OpenGL 1.1. If the drivers aren't there you will get software rendering which, as you have noticed, is unusably slow. The good news is pretty much every graphics chip out there supports OpenGL if you have the right drivers. You have to find out who makes your graphi...

Hi guys, thanks for the interest. I just want to point out that this game is not going to be freeware. The web page doesn't make that very clear and I'm sorry if I got anyone's hopes up. who are you and do you have any knowlage of mcm1,mcm2, Twisted Dirt? I like what you have here!! Maybe I (we) can...
