I know this just adds cost to the whole thing but I would like to see a slider joint that goes front and back, with a single spring that attaches in a vertical position, like:

Neutral Position (from side)

Foward position (viewing from right side)

The top plate is where the bars would mount and you would slide it back to make your rider go back (or go forward, however you want it), push forward to make him go forward (or backward, depending on your preference).

On a slightly different topic but still with springs, I would like to see a lever arm mounted to the bars that then has a spring attached to it (probably a vertically oriented spring again), and then the spring attaches to the top of the sliding joint. Then the bars would try to stay in a neutral position and you might get some better feel compared to freeballing it.

I know it adds $$$ and time, but maybe a cheaper version can be dreamed up.

I think I understand what your saying. I have played around with that kind of idea, but found it causes problems with the stand unit being adaptable for both MX and Superbikes and greatly increases weight and cost.

Yeah, sorry, it didn't like the spaces I put in so they are all the same wrong thing. This will look worse but illustrate the point more.

Neutral.

But you probably knew what I talking about anyway. Yep, it would be much more work than an analog stick for sure, I just thought I'd give my input. Other wise, an analog stick should work fine (on the left side!).
