Front end washing out on off cambers
Hey fellas quick help from the vets. I have my own setup I am really enjoying (been playing for almost a month and got my stability down to 55 so far) and for some reason on my off cambers or hitting a tall jump coming out a corner my front end tries to wash out. I am wondering how to fix this but dont have a clue. I try leaning back but still does it. In real life you want to be far up on the bike as also have your leg high as possible going through an off camber. I am kinda dumb founded on this and it is really hurting the way I ride. The only one I can kinda do half way decent is on the RedBUD 2010 Replica downhill before the long straight aways.

You can't be aggressive on off-cambers. Just ride it really cautiously and smooth and you'll be alright. And also, hit jumps straight on. You don't want to be coming at them sideways and crooked unless you know you can ride away.

yeah I sometimes try to be cautious and still fall. I lowered my stability and started riding on 30 to see if that helped but didnt. I do feel preety good with it now.

I try to find a berm and rail it. And when there's no berm then I try to maintian a certain speed so I don't fallover becose I'm riding to slow. But don't pin it either
.
The inside turn of that offcamber in Red Bud is a good turn to practice your ofcambers. And if that works fine then you can move on to something more difficult.

You just need to feather the throttle and I guess I would most likely be sitting down in quite neutral position in offcambers. And the when the curve starts to open you can slam the throttle and let the rear slide out and accelerate away.

Try adjusting your mass distribution

I am on 50 already. I do try letting the rear wheel slide out but it doesnt do any good. I just need more practice I guess. I mean its amazing how much better I get every day but its really hard to tell if im just riding. When I come to older ghost from tacks I ride in a couple of days I leave the ghost. I just thought the damping or leveling would have something to do with it but I dont know.TBARRY34 wrote:Try adjusting your mass distribution

Slowing the rebound in the forks helps, doesn't knife as quick.
It seemed to help me a bit.

Re: Front end washing out on off cambers
If your front end is washing out reduce your rider mass. The higher the rider mass the quicker the rider falls off center towards whatever way your leaning to. an reduce the fork oil level. it makes the forks a little more supple allowing the front wheel to stay in contact with the ground.
