Rider mass

Post by SKERICK »

Hey all im sorry i know this question should be put under some other topic, but i dont think anyone would read it if i put it in the setup topic!
Can someone please please explain to me the advantages of having a high rider mass eg 44 - 50??
i have trial and error'd this many times but i keep returning to the conclusion that 34-36 is just straight out easier to stay on the bike?
Should i be persaviering with a higher mass until i get used to it? does the bike track better? does it corner better?
i just wanna get the heads up cause im commiting myself to tune my bike good for the nationals and what i got now is good but no cigar!
thanks>>

I THINK, not completely sure, it's like the height above the seat of the riders mass. so a higher value allows him to chuck his weight around a bit more, but heightens the centre of gravity (that's why it's easier to fall off). When other people post, we'll see how wrong I am. xD

that usually is the case."

Low mass distribution is more stable, Higher mass distribution allows your body position to affect the bike more.
