SUSPENSION SETUP!

Post by N.DeFronzo131 »

I really need help with this!
im very frustrated, ive tried everything and i cant seem to get my bike through corners and exiting corners without the bars twitching and resulting in crashing. Its like the rider has no strength in his arms and the bars twitch all the time. There also seems to be no weight transfer to the front wheel, because the front wheel washes out alot even when the lean indicator isnt red. this COULD be that the rear shock is too soft. PLEASE let me know what you think or what your set up is so i can get this somewhat ride able. Its really starting to piss me off.

Thanks.

its not always the suspension...if youre turning and you arent giving it some gas the front will wash out. too much weight on the front wheel. keep the power on and youll have a lot less trouble. when the bike starts to headshake then you have a lot of traction on the rear and are lifting the front...lean forward or let off the gas slightly. all in the technique.

as for a setup though...i just go to Race Tech's site and figure out some spring rates there, and then just mess with the damping. keep the preload low (25-30). also, you can messing with your gearing to keep from pulling the front up so easily.
