Hey guys, since sx is creeping up on me, i was thinking i would need a new computer within the next couple months or so.
I want to pay no more than $700 on a desktop with no monitor or mouse.

Better the processor better the sim. Does take a fair amount of graphics as well but a decent 2gb card will do. Stick with those standards and you are golden. i5's are good, I don't even think the hyperthreading on the i7 is even understood by Sim so I am not sure if it will help any.
