Controller Adapter on Desktop...

I have a laptop that i usually play on, but its starting to lagg ALOT and i also have a desktop computer that seems to run fairly well but when i use my controller adapter it is delayed alot and it isnt on my laptop... I wont be able to get a wired controller for a few weeks and im tired of the lagg... Can someone please help me make my controller adapter work better on the desktop? Thanks!
