Re: Hello all Mxsriders. SOS!
The key is to lighten the front just as you leave the ground. From the FAQ:
How do I keep the front wheel from diving over jumps?
If you're only nose diving a little bit, you can correct it with throttle control. Let off the throttle for a moment as you hit the jump, and then go back to full throttle as you go up the jump.
If the jump has an extreme kick to it, you will also need to lean back just before you leave the ground.

I think a menu with hint and tips would be really nice ingame. I have big trouble with the riding here. Seems like the "gas gyro" dont work and the leaning too, i drop like a rock in "every" jump. Irl everyone can drive around a track with out problem, but here without the arcade on i crach even if i have just alittle gas in the corners.
I have tried to understand the settings but i cant really get it..
Can anyone make a good beginnersetup?
sorry about all the "blabla" but i get really frustrated.

Re: Hello all Mxsriders. SOS!
i think it helps to lean back right at the top of the jump and keep the throttle pinned all the way up the take off

Re: Hello all Mxsriders. SOS!
One of the biggest things with this game is practice...
You have to think about it like real riding. When you started riding a bike in real life you didnt try to do big jumps, blow berms apart etc.
Just like in real like, this game required you to take everything nice and slow. Practice jumping half the jump, then a bit more, then a bit more until you get the feel of the bike in the air.
You should also try to avoid leaning back on jumps as a way to save your self from nosediving. I know it seems the easy way but correct gear and throttle control will do the job on almost every single jump and it will make you a better rider
As for the gas and brake gyro, in real life and this game, the gyro works due to the rear/front wheel experiencing a rapid acceleration/deceleration. If you leave the jump full throttle and hold it full throttle the wheel doesn't accelerate much so it does not have as great a gyro effect. (Correct me if i'm wrong anyone)
Also you do get to the point where you can ride away from a lot of nasty situations as your described before but this comes after lots of practise. (Just like in real life)
Anyway good luck, practise heaps, and welcome to the most frustrating BUT one of the funnest and most rewarding games around

I used to think the same about the gas gyro, but now I think it's perfect. It only works right in the way yomo described it, if you are pretty horizontal in the air and aren't doing anything crazy at a funky angle, it works very well.

Yeah i Yesturday i started to get a hang of it. Did some whips too. But i have found out why it goes bad. the xbox controller is very sensitive, i barely touch thge left stick and it make alittle turning anyway.. something with the deadzone i think..yzmxer608 wrote:I used to think the same about the gas gyro, but now I think it's perfect. Re: Hello all Mxsriders. SOS!
dont lean back all the way up the jump, just on the top of it, and keep on the gas.

You can change the deadzone settings, in your personal folder there should be a config file, open that in a notepad type program and towards the bottom there are settings for the controls.
