Does it not happen for the first track you load after starting the game?
It does happen for the first track I load in
OK. The game does keep the previous race's textures around when it loads the next race so it doesn't have to reload the textures shared by the previous and current race. That could make it go exceed the texture memory while still reporting totals less than the available memory. Wouldn't be an issue on the first load though.

Reducing "Ground Geometric Detail" from 100 -> 80 seems to have fixed it for me, again. Testing the same tracks with no issues so far.
I have no idea why that would change it. That should be independent from the texturing.
I'll try adding some sanity checks to the texture allocation code for the terrain textures. Maybe it'll get an error message at least.
Now I'm only getting black textures in demo playback with my weird fix
Anyone know what the reason it could be thats causing my game lag stuttering ONLY in rF race server?
I tried mulitple snapshots and i just cant figure it out. I am on 125fps but it just stutters and the more erode forms the more stutter i get.
I've heard multiple people having this problem

Have you tried turning down the treadmark limit a little bit? When I had it on default, it would cause fps to be inconsistent at around the half way mark.
If you already did that or it doesn't help, it might be helpful to describe the kind of stutters you encounter. Every once in a while a big drop, constantly low fps? I'm not sure but

Does it clear up after a while or does it get worse and worse?
From what I noticed, once it happens it stays the same.
I should mention the first time this happened was at Round 1 of Nationals and it was as soon as my demo ended. So if the Demo was 10 minutes as soon as it hit 10.01 this would happen. I haven't attempted to see if this is still an issue because I try to avoid it.

why does it keep saying "cant find game data"
It has to be installed in the folder you originally installed in. The game data file is zzzz.saf. If you don't see that file you're in the wrong folder.

I'm getting a lot of artifacting after updating to this snapshot. Most noticeable on dark dirt textures. Not sure how to fix.
I've been meaning to post about this too. Tiny white artifacts on dark shaded areas close to camera. One example is on Highpoint on a face of a step up at a later part of the lap. I'm on linux and Amd hardware.

Can you post a screenshot?
https://postimg.cc/9RXdhwPX Zoom to full size. Now that I stopped to look at them they seem to flicker in a straight line. I was able to capture three white pixels at the same time but each frame they show in different spots. Could it be a decal edge or some texture edge kind of thing?
