You girls should see the shit storms on the iRacing forums of slow people that will not admit faster people are just more talented. It's a good time. Pinned saw a guy in a server getting berated for being fast by a group of other drivers. He wasn't driving "realistically" according to them. And that if iRacig was worth a shit they would fix the physics so you have to drive realistically and then he would be slow. Which is ridiculous no matter how you swing it because driving on the edge is driving on the edge no matter where that edge is. Moreover they're convinced that iRacing is in on the fix and that these people have different executable files and are allowed to cheat because iRacing likes them more.
The parallels to what squirrellyboy posted are plentiful, at least nobody is accusing JLV of favoritism yet. Sorry but there's no super secret setup sharing, those kids just play A LOT more than you. You would have to agree that Nate would no doubt be ones of the "in" group who participates in the super secret setup sharing and hacking, right? But as he is now in school and can't play as much he results have faded much the same. Weird indeed, since he is part of the supposed secret setup sharing society and all.

Re: Something is Missing
I've ran one lap under 3:00 at Hangtown, I've had the game for almost seven years. At one point in time I was getting wins and top 5's in this game and after so long I quit playing as much as I did and different things for the game(450s/rider lean) have evolved the game faster than I could keep up. It worked for some and for some it hasn't. Don't blame the game because you suck, play the game because its fun and is a good way to spend free time. You can't always win and even though that is tough you move on and improve. There is a video on youtube that shows Tysen absolutley struggling at a Winter Indoor, running 6th and falling twice in his 30 second clip. Instead of blaming the game and saying the top 5 were cheating he got it together and practiced how to go fast. Try it.Byron11 wrote:wow....you guys really dont listen do you...please do not insult me,i have been playing this game for a while now.
i mean i know the community for MXSIM Is bad..but this?
something is terribly going wrong with my version of the game.
if i could show you a video of it...you would know i need help
i have been in the 01 server recently..and there are people in there who have only had the game for a couple weeks..and they are hitting 10 second faster laps than me
TRY AND EXPLAIN THAT

Re: Something is Missing
By rider lean he means leaning forward and backwards, the game didn't allow you to do that at one time.
Watching videos and demos of people, you can't say what their setup is like, it could be super loose but look stiff depending on how they're riding. Best thing to do is once you are fairly comfortable, can make it around a lap without crashing NO MATTER how slow your lap is, keep that setup for a while. You're only hurting yourself constantly changing setups. I made that mistake throughout the whole SX season but still had similar finishing positions (only reason I could switch so much and stay similar speeds is because of how long I've played this game I know what to do for controller input to adjust based on setup differences).
Just like Phathry said, there is no super secret black market for awesome setups. I've heard TONS of people trying faster guys setups and they say "I don't understand how he's so fast with it...". It's what you are used to and know.

Re: Something is Missing
thanks man i appreciate it,i did once i have a setup that i was really used to. But like you mentioned changing setups frequently is not good.
My main weakness is Cornering, and i hoping someone could help me because there are a few questions i would to like to ask about them..if no one would mind?

Re: Something is Missing
Me myself i dont feel im getting faster i only dont crash as often as i used to do (was a total goon last summer) and when im just riding and riding i start realize i beat people more often and baam you are in a spot where you race the pro races
if you ride corners all the time you will get better of it and hit them in a higher speed
if you ride corners all the time you will get better of it and hit them in a higher speed
Pastrana and Twich are both Awesome but NOBODY is in Pastrana's league. Everyone knows that....
