Yeah i agree, theyr way too fast, but i still want that power sound on the 250's, and the bottom power on the 450's, and it would be funnier if u could choose class, and uknow easier to whip with a 125 then a 250 and so on, thats what i want, thats what i think would be fun, but thats up to jlv, he is making the game, i cant complain cuz its the best mx game in the world! :D

peace out!

I don't know if that's inaccurate. A 250f wound out in 2nd will be moving pretty fast. With an ideal ramp you might go 130 feet.

If you want I'll post the gearing info, but I'm pretty sure it's all correct.

whoah there! maybe with a 12 tooth rear sproket! the longest i've ever attempted with my crf250 in second gear was 50 feet. that was seat bouncing and really stretching it out! (i've been riding since i was 5, im now 18). Im not questioning your judgment, you definitely know what your doing, but thats a little crazy. 130 feet is fourth tapped on a 250f...ive done that too!

The problem is the rolling resistance, i think JLVs power measurements are mostly correct but the drag on the bike isnt (this is just my theory) I think the traction is a little low and the resistance a little low. I also think something is going wrong in the clutch area. when in first gear pinned poping the clutch the bike will probably spin and rev out but popping it in second gear will almost always put you on your back. Agreed?

i agree with that. i have noticed that it seems that it takes forever to stop, and you can coast forever. does anyone else think that using the rear brake in conjunction with the front brake actually slows you down less than the front alone.

quick question, gonna make the 450's?

If you keep it inline it helps you slow down tremendously but note, you must have the back wheel on the ground for it to stop you. Ive noticed some times that even though it may not feel like it the wheel is off the ground just slightly.

Yeah I noticed that too. I never use the rear brake- except when throwing whips. I feel the back brake is virtually useless. Maybe if there was a "braking strength" adjustment for front and rear? Then you might be able to slide into corners a bit more (assuming anti-lock is on. I know it can be done with it off) like in some real life scenarios.

i think the strength of the front brake needs to be increased a little, and maybe the friction regarding the bike and the ground increased as well.

You are probably using sane ramps. When you use realisticly shaped jumps in the game you will get the same distances as real life. If you use a crazy 45 degree launch angle you will go farther than a typical 20-30 degree jump.

Also, 2nd gear at the redline might be a bit faster then you think:

13000 rpms
* (18/57) primary ratio
* (16/28) 2nd gear ratio
* (13/51) final ratio
* 3.14*(26/12) wheel circumference in feet
* 60 minutes in an hour
/ 5280 feet per mile
= 46.229 mph

how far will 46 mph get you? it just doesn't seem plausible. when you figure in friction, wheel spin, wind, the wheel bearings, *ramp angle, everything, ahhh, idk. all i do know is that this game is sweet no matter how far you can jump in second gear...laughs.

Well, by my calculations, off a 45 degree jump, you should be able to go about 146 ft at 46 MPH

is it just me, or does this just not sound right? i just can't imagine jumping 146 feet in second gear. that's three times as far as i've ever attempted in real life. i would be almost 4th tapped. ok, im done with logic, numbers are fact.
